I learned a lot about my community from the 9th anniversary celebration of Hope for Children. I was so happy because all the activities impressed me. I was especially impressed by Yewoinshet. She is always energetic to do her best for the organization. She never says, "I am tired." She has brought to us a peaceful life. I have a lot to say about Yewoinshet's good work. Words cannot describe all she has done for us.

In the 9th anniversary celebration, I saw great happiness and sadness. I had fun with the drama and dance of Sudden Flowers. Before Sudden Flowers performed, I participated in many other dances that day. Traditional dancing has always been something I loved. Ever since I was little, I danced a lot. At the 9th anniversary celebration, I invited my sponsor to get up on stage and dance with me. My sponsor is from Canada. He covers the rent for the house, the education, and clothes, everything. He comes to Ethiopia every year to visit the group home he sponsors. It was a lot of fun to dance with him that day. I was so involved with dancing with the guests that I got out of sync with my dance group. When I realized, I stopped dancing with the guests and joined my group to finish the performance.

At the end of the program, there was a person who talked on the stage. They gave witness to their life story. I cried listening to her situation, and felt very sad.

Thank you in the name of God. Konjit
